About Me

Professional Experience. Personal Understanding.
My journey into counselling and clinical supervision wasn’t just driven by academic interest, but by a genuine fascination with how people navigate the complexities of their relationships and roles. As a counsellor in private practice and a Masters-level educator, I’ve seen first hand that “talk” is rarely enough—people need practical, robust frameworks to move through life’s transitions.
My Clinical Pillars
Relationship Excellence: I specialize in the Gottman Method because I value research-based results. I provide couples with the same clarity and structured “roadmaps” that I would want for my own relationships.
Advocating for Men’s Mental Health: Much of my professional work and published research has focused on how to make therapy more accessible and effective for men. I believe in a “side-by-side” approach that respects logic and agency, moving away from pathologizing and toward practical problem-solving.
Supervising the Next Generation: Beyond my work with clients, I find immense value in providing clinical supervision to fellow social workers and counsellors. My goal is to help you build a professional identity that is as sustainable as it is impactful.
The Philosophy of Balance
My work is deeply systemic; I believe no one exists in a vacuum. We are all trying to balance being the best version of ourselves for our families, our workplaces, and our communities. This is why I often share resources on my blog about concepts like the “Third Space”—tactical ways to transition between these roles. I don’t just teach these models; I apply them to ensure that I, too, am showing up with clarity and presence in my own life and practice.
